This specimen was lot 45375 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $1,440. The catalog description[1] noted, "HONDURAS. 1/2 Real, 1871-A. Paris Mint. NGC MS-63." This type was struck for Honduras 1869-71 during its transition to decimal coinage, along with eighth, quarter and one reales. This is the scarce date.

Specification: 6.2 g, nickel brass (per Numista) or copper-nickel (per the SCWC), 25.5 mm diameter.
