Honan Province in the south east of China began coin production in 1647. A mint for struck coinage began operation in 1905.

The specimen shown was lot 61223 in Ponterio sale 165 (Hong Kong, April 2012), where it sold for $215. The catalog description[1] noted, “CHINA. Honan. 10 Cash, ND (1920). NGC MS-62 BN. 中華民國當十銅元。 Frank Robinson Collection.”
