This specimen was lot 75398 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $456. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. Holland. Ducat, 1758. NGC AU-58. Traditional design of a standing medieval knight. A premium coin at this grade level." The type is recorded from Holland 1702-92; each province of the Netherlands issued its own coins. Holland was the largest and wealthiest part of the United Provinces, now the kingdom of the Netherlands. This mintmark was used 1749-92.
