This specimen was lot 491 in Schulman auction 379 (Amsterdam, June 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLLAND Provincie 1581 - 1795. Misslag Duit. 1715, Copper In het veld . ❀ . / HOL / LAN / DIA. / jaartal. Kz. klimmende leeuw met speer en vrijheidshoed in Hollandse tuin. NGC Mint Error VF Details. Scratches, Double Struck. (province of Holland, misstruck duit of 1715, copper. Obverse: HOLLANDIA and date; reverse: lion rampant with spear and hat within a fence. Graded NGC Mint Error VF Details. Scratches, Double Struck.)"

The copper duit was one eighth of a stuiver. This denomination was struck in large numbers 1702, 1707-17, 1720-23, 1739-42, 1754, 1765-69 and 1780. The mintage is not recorded for this date but other dates are known to have been struck in the millions. Presentation strikes exist in gold and silver.
