Stack's Bowers 2025 NYINC sale, lot 39422

This specimen was lot 39422 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $552. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. Holland. 2 Stuivers, 1711. Dordrecht Mint. PCGS Genuine--Damage, VF Details. Ex: DeLiefde Shipwreck." This type is listed for 1672-83, 1697-1739, 1744-1780, 1784-93. The gold issue (KM 48a) was struck to ducat weight 1723-66, most likely for presentation. Other minors, including the scheepjesschelling (six stuivers), were also struck in gold. Dubbelwapenstuiver means "double shield stuiver".
