This specimen was lot 42276 in Stack's Bowers Winter sale (Baltimore, November 2015), where it sold for $152.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Hesse-Cassel. 1/6 Taler, 1800-F. Wilhelm IX (1785-1803). NGC MS-64. Slight weakness in the strike but with full claims to the lofty assigned grade. Glowing subdued luster under lightly toned surfaces." This type is listed for 1790-1802 and is rather expensive for an obscure German minor.
