This specimen was lot 1420 in Sincona sale 18 (Zürich, May 2014), where it sold for CHF 260 (about US$343 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Konventionstaler 1796. Hanau Ausbeute Bieber. Fast sehr schön-sehr schön. (Germany, landgraviate of Hesse-Cassel, convention thaler of 1796, for the Hanau mines, very fine.)"
The SCWC lists this type for 1787-1800 and is somewhat common for this locale.
