Künker sale 335, lot 3935

This specimen was lot 3935 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €800 (about US$1,047 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HESSEN, HESSEN-KASSEL, LANDGRAFSCHAFT, SEIT 1803 KURFÜRSTENTUM. Wilhelm V. 1627-1637. Reichstaler 1632, Kassel, auf den Tod seines Vaters Moritz. Feine Patina, kl. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand, sehr schön +. (Germany, landgraviate of Hesse-Cassel, William V, 1627-37, thaler of 1632, Cassel mint, on the death of his father Maurice. Fine patina, rim nicks, very fine or better.)"

This thaler must have been saved as it is not expensive.
