This specimen was lot 1264 in Stephen Album sale 43 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2022), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "HANNOVER: Ernst August, 1837-1851, AV 2½ thaler, 1850, initial B, lustrous, one-year type, EF-AU." This type was struck 1850 only. The last 2½ thaler was struck in 1855. Hannover was annexed to Prussia in 1866, ending the coinage.
