This specimen was lot 73633 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. Pfennig, 1788-C. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg III (George III of Great Britain). PCGS MS-62 Brown. A charming coin with splashes of subtle cobalt and plum immersed in the otherwise chocolate surfaces. Lustrous and well struck. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1780-85 and 1788. Of the three different pfenninge struck in 1788, (see KM 360.1 (monogram obverse) and KM 380 (St. Andrew reverse)) this has the highest catalog value. This denomination is spelled "pfennig" in modern German.
