The first specimen was part of lot 31754 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), which sold for $3,375.60. The catalog description[1] noted, "Haiti. Republic 4-Piece Certified gold Gourdes Proof Set Ultra Cameo NGC, 1) "Citadel of St. Christopher" 30 Gourdes 1970-IC - PR67, KM 72; 2) "J.J. Dessalines" 40 Gourdes 1969-IC - PR66, KM 73; 3) "Alexandre Petion" 60 Gourdes 1969-IC - PR63, KM 74; 4) "King Henri Christophe" 250 Gourdes 1969-IC - PR62, KM 75. A bright set of gold issues, each featuring sharply struck detail and a full cameo contrast. The coins exhibit varying degrees of mild amber tone." The second specimen was part of lot 30912 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), which sold for $8,700. The catalog description[2] noted, "Haiti: Republic 5-Piece Uncertified gold Proof Set 1969-IC, 1) 30 Gourdes - Proof; 2) 40 Gourdes - Proof; 3) 60 Gourdes - Proof (Harshly Cleaned); 4) 250 Gourdes - Proof (Harshly Cleaned); 5) 500 Gourdes - Proof (Harshly Cleaned), KM 76; KM-PS5. Sold with original case and COA #585. Total AGW approximately 5.03 oz." The "IC" mintmark on the reverse is for the Italcambio mint in Italy.

Recorded mintage: 935 for 1969-70.

Specification: 18.22 g, 0.585 fine gold.
