This specimen was lot 10485 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $2,174. The catalog description[1] noted, "HAITI. Gourde, 1882. PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder. Old envelope toning. Very attractive." This type was struck 1881-82, 1887 and 1895 and is not rare in circulated condition tho is a better type. All issues seem to have been struck at the Paris mint.
Recorded mintage: 500,000 (highest mintage date).
Specification: 25 g, 0.900 fine silver, .7234 troy oz ASW, 37 mm diameter, reeded edge.
