Haiti 1882 20 centimes

from the Mountain Groan Collection

This type was struck 1881-82, 1887, 1890 and 1894-95 and is not rare in circulated condition tho is a better type. All issues seem to have been struck at the Paris mint (as noted by the privy mark). The coin is the same weight and fineness as a contemporary French franc.

Recorded mintage: 1,250,000 (including proofs).

Specification: 5 g, 0.835 fine silver, 0.134 troy oz ASW, 23 mm diameter, reeded edge.
