This specimen was lot 32705 in Heritage sale 3040 (Chicago, April 2015), where it sold for $258.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Charles III 4 Reales 1787 NG-M Fine. Nueva Guatemala mint, assayer, "M". A Well struck Fine example and a slightly better date. From The Santa Maria Collection." This is the only date listed in the SCWC for this slightly debased type (issues of 1777-85 were 0.903 fine), a few dated 1786 are known to exist.

Specification: 13.54 g, 0.896 fine silver.
