This specimen was lot 35254 in Heritage sale 3038 (Dallas, January 2015), where it sold for $763.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Charles III 4 Reales 1782 NG-P good Fine, Nueva Guatemala mint. Good Fine in terms of wear and quite attractive for the grade. A rare date for this scarce Colonial bust type, as are all i[s]sued in the early 1780's. From The Santa Maria Collection." This type is listed for 1772-76 (mintmark "G"), 1777-85 (mintmark "NG", 0.903 fine) and 1786-87 (.896 fine). All dates are scarce and some are rare.
