This type was struck for Greece 1982-94 and 1998-2000. An earlier version (KM 118, struck 1976-80) had the denomination spelled "ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ" instead of "ΔΡΑΧΜΕΣ". We don't know the reason for the change. Greece joined the euro and all the drachma coinage is obsolete.

Recorded mintage: 42,647,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 5.5 g, copper-nickel, 22.5 mm diameter.
