This specimen was lot 71744 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2020), where it sold for $1,140. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 2 Pounds, 1985. Llantrisant Mint. NGC PROOF-70 Ultra Cameo. A technically flawless proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices." This type was struck 1985-93, 1999 for sale to bullion investors and not issued for circulation.
