This specimen was lot 56858 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Penny, 1922. London Mint. George V. PCGS MS-65 Brown." This type was struck for George V 1911-22 and 1926. In 1926, the head was modified in an attempt to alleviate striking problems. A rare variety of the 1922 penny uses the "reverse of 1927".

Recorded mintage: 16,347,000.

Specification: 9.4 g, bronze, 30.8 mm diameter.
