This specimen was lot 23748 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Sovereign, 1903. London Mint. NGC MS-61. A wholesome survivor with signs of handling consistent for the grade displaying a hint of tone. From the Collection of Richard Jewell." This type was struck 1902-10 in considerable numbers and is the only sovereign for Edward VII. Proofs were made only in 1902.
