This specimen was lot 1536 in Goldberg sale 116 (Los Angeles, June 2020), where it sold for $60. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Silver Maundy Fourpence, 1852. Victoria. Toned Uncirculated, A scarce date, and an integral part of the Maundy Set which catalogues at £675 in Uncirculated. Choice Uncirculated." This design was used for the Maundy sets 1838-87. The circulation groat had Britannia on the reverse.
Recorded mintage: 4,158 + a few of the Britannia reverse (KM 731.1).
