This specimen was lot 74815 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 3 Pence, 1852. London Mint. Victoria. PCGS MS-65. A charming piece with a rich display of golds, icy blue, and carmine with hints of olive. According to Coins of England & the United Kingdom, this date was struck for Colonial use only."

Recorded mintage: 4,488 for the Maundy sets plus more for circulation. The circulation issue is scarce.

Specification: 1.41 g, 0.925 fine silver, 16 mm diameter.
