This specimen was lot 24095 in Heritage sale 3020 (Long Beach, September 2012), where it sold for $1,057.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria Sixpence 1851, Young Head, MS66 NGC, a sharply struck gem with beautiful golden bluish green iridescent toning. Rare so fine." This type was struck 1838-66 in large quantities with a slightly modified obverse continuing until 1887.

Recorded mintage: 2,288,000.

Specification: 2.82 g (not 3.01 g as reported in the SCWC), 0.925 fine silver, 19.3 mm diameter.
