UBS sale 85, lot 882

This specimen was lot 882 in UBS sale 85 (Zürich, September 2010), where it sold for 450 CHF (about US$513 ncluding buyer's fee). The catalog description[1] noted,

"GROSSBRITANNIEN, William IV. 1830-1837, Halfcrown 1834. Vorzüglich-FDC. (Great Britain, half crown of 1834, extremely fine to uncirculated)"

This type was struck 1834-37 and is expensive in nice condition.

Recorded mintage: 993,000.

Specification: 14.14 g, 0.925 fine silver, this specimen 14,13 g.
