This specimen was lot 218 in Sincona sale 75 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 9,000 CHF (about US$10,924 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Grossbritannien | Königreich. George II. 1727-1760. Guinea 1743, London. Intermediate laureate head. NGC AU53." The second head was used on the guinea 1732-38; the third head (shown here) was used 1739-43 and is slightly more available. Guineas with "E.I.C." below the bust exist for 1739.
