This specimen was lot 32710 in Heritage sale 3089 (Dallas, TX, January 2021), where it sold for $1,860. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. George I Shilling 1717 MS63 NGC. With plumes and roses in angles. Exhibiting vibrant gold, crimson, and cobalt surface coloration, glints of argent mint luster evident underneath. From the Trident Collection." This is a better date of a type struck 1715-23. Varieties exist with different devices on the reverse but not for 1717.

Specification: 6.02 g, 0.925 fine silver.
