This specimen was lot 4328 in Goldberg sale 75 (Los Angeles, September 2013), where it sold for $517.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Threepence, 1717. George I. Superb mint state Much rarer than the sixpences and shillings of this reign in this grade. NGC graded MS-66." This type is listed for 1717, 1721, 1723 and 1727. The threepences of George II (KM 569, 1729-60) are much more available.
