This specimen was lot 75533 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Penny, 1698. London Mint. William III. PCGS VF-30. From the Richard August Collection." The halfpennies of William III come in two varieties: KM 483.1, with the date in the exergue, struck 1695-98, and KM 483.2, with the date in the legend, struck 1698-99. Neither are common for 1698 and the weak strike is typical.

Specification: 10.8 g, copper, 28 mm diameter, plain edge.
