This specimen was lot 1314 in Sincona sale 73 (Zürich, November 2021), where it sold for 8,500 CHF (about US$10,936 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"GREAT BRITAIN | Königreich. Charles II. 1660-1685. 2 Guineas 1682, London. Selten. NGC AU53. Feine Goldpatina. (kingdom of Great Britain, Charles II, 1660-85, two guineas of 1682, London mint. Rare, Nice gold patina.)"
This type was struck 1675-84. There is a similar type (KM 443.2) struck during the same years (including 1682) with an elephant and castle added below the king's bust; this marked gold obtained from Africa.
