This specimen was lot 37021 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $552. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Shilling, ND (1625). London Mint; mm: Lis. Charles I. PCGS EF-45. From the Richard August Collection." The young Charles I was very popular at the start of his reign but his ratings plummeted after several military expeditions turned into disasters.
