This specimen was lot 56704 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $456. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Shilling, ND (1621-23). London Mint; mm: Thistle. James I. PCGS AU-50." James I, who united England and Scotland, invented the term Great Britain. The SCWC lists seven catalog numbers (KM 13, 14, 26, 27, 28, 59, 60) for the shillings of James I, many without photos. None are dated.
