This specimen was lot 31079 in Heritage auction 3096 (Dallas, TX, March 2021), where it sold for $2,052. The catalog description[1] noted, "Gibraltar: British Colony. Elizabeth II gold Proof "British-Sterling 250th Anniversary" 100 Pounds 1975 PR67 Ultra Cameo NGC. Celebrating the 250th anniversary of the introduction of the British pound sterling, this wonderful example displays exceptionally struck motifs atop subdued reflectivity in the fields. From the Paramount Collection." This is an early NCLT, before the colony fell into the clutches of the Pobjoy Mint. It is accompanied by a gold 25 pounds (KM 7) and 50 pounds (KM 8).

Recorded mintage: 1,625 plus 750 proofs.
