This specimen was lot 1367 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Gibraltar. 25 Pounds, 1975. Elizabeth II. 250th Anniversary - Introduction of British Sterling. Mintage 2,395 Uncirculated examples struck of this one year type. NGC graded MS-64." This is an early NCLT, before the colony fell into the clutches of the Pobjoy Mint. It is accompanied by a gold 100 pounds (KM 9) and 50 pounds (KM 8).
Recorded mintage: 2,395 plus 750 proofs.
Specification: 7.77 g, 0.917 fine gold, 0.2291 troy oz AGW.
