This specimen was lot 2565 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$302 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Bundesrepublik Deutschland, 5 Deutsche Mark 1963 G, Karlsruhe. NGC MS65."
This is a common date of a type struck 1951, 1956-74 at four mints (D, F, G, J). The early proofs are rare; they don't seem to have been available to the public until about 1968.
Recorded mintage: 600,000 plus c. 100 proofs.
Specification: 11.20 g, 0.625 fine silver, 29 mm diameter; this specimen 11.14 g.
