Steve Album sale 38, lot 3444

This specimen was lot 3444 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $41.65. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY: Allied Occupation, zinc 10 pfennig, 1948-F, PCGS graded MS63." Altho listed by the SCWC under the Third Reich, this type of 1945-48 was issued by the Allied military authorities from Berlin, Stuttgart (shown here), Muldenhutten and Karlsruhe using altered dies. It is common in low grade but very scarce in choice condition.
