This specimen was lot 3477 in Sincona sale 18 (Zürich, May 2014), where it sold for CHF 325 (about US$428 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"5 Francs 1848. Sehr schön. (canton of Geneva, five francs of 1848, very fine.)"
Geneva minted five francs in silver, ten and twenty francs in gold in 1848, the last year of cantonal issues. This coin is not as rare as the mintage would indicate.
