Geneva 1762 2 quarts
This specimen was lot 4267 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$174 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Genf/Genève, Stadt und Kanton, 2 Quarts (1/2 Sol oder 6 Deniers) 1762, Genf. Silberabschlag. Selten. Sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion Numismatica Genevensis SA 18, Genf, November 2022, Los 2379. (Switzerland, canton of Geneva, two quarts or half sol of 1762, Geneva mint, struck in silver. Rare, Very Fine.)"
This type was struck intermittently 1754-88 and is common. Silver strikes exist, made for presentation. One thaler was 96 sols and one sol was four quarts.
