Sincona sale 102, lot 5235

This specimen was lot 5235 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 700 CHF (about US$1,055 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Genf/Genève, Stadt und Kanton, 3 Sols 1763, Genf. Silberabschlag. Selten. Vorzüglich. (Switzerland, city and canton of Geneva, three sols of 1763, Geneva mint, struck in silver. Rare, Extremely Fine.)"

This type was struck in billon and silver 1763-66 and 1775-76. One thaler was 96 sols and one sol was four quarts.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.9 g, billon, 22.5 mm diameter, this specimen 2.78 g.
