This specimen was lot 4243 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 80 CHF (about US$116 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Genf/Genève, Stadt und Kanton, 8 Deniers 1620, Genf. Schön-sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Geneva, Geneva mint. Fine-Very Fine.)"
This type is listed for 1617-20 but does not fit the usual sol/quart/denier denominations. A four deniers was also struck briefly. One thaler was 96 sols. One sol was four quarts or twelve deniers.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specifications: 0.97 g, billon, 18 mm diameter, this specimen 1.04 g.
