Sincona sale 98, lot 4242

This specimen was lot 4242 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$145 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Genf/Genève, Stadt und Kanton, 3 Sols 1619, Genf. Mzz. NP (ligiert) - G . Sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Geneva, three sols of 1619, Geneva mint. Very Fine.)"

This type is listed for 1619-24, 1633-46 and 1661 and is common in low grade. One thaler was 96 sols.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specifications: 2.46 g, billon, 23-25 mm diameter, this specimen 2.30 g.
