Sincona sale 91, lot 3214

This specimen was lot 3214 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 2,800 CHF (about US$3,700 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Genf/Genève, Stadt und Kanton, Quart o. J. (um 1539), Genf. Geschweiftes Wappen. GEV[ENA] | CIVITAS. Rv. Blumenkreuz. . POST . TEN[EBR]AS . LVCEM . G. Von grösster Seltenheit. Sehr schön. Leichte Prägeschwäche. (Switzerland, canton of Geneva, undated quart, circa 1539, Geneva mint. Obverse: ornate arms; reverse: floriate cross. Of the highest rarity, Very fine, Slightly weakly struck.)"
