This specimen was lot 2714 in Steve Album Auction 52 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $102. The catalog description[1] noted, "GELDERLAND: Republic, AE duit, 1788, a lovely lustrous chocolate-brown mint state example! PCGS graded MS63 BN." The preceding type (KM 105) was struck 1783-88 with no border on the reverse. This type (KM 108) of 1788 and 1793-94 had a border added. Both are common. Gelderland also struck half duits (KM 55) and duits (KM 50) for the East India Company. The mint in Harderwijk closed in 1802. One gulden was 96 duits.
