This specimen was lot 580 in Ponterio sale 158 (New York, January 2011), where it sold for $460. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. Gelderland. Ducat, 1651. NGC AU-55." Gelderland, along with several other Dutch provinces, issued gold ducats from the sixteenth century until the termination of the United Provinces by Napoleon in the 1790's.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.50 g, 0.986 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW.
