This specimen was lot 41474 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Fulda. 1/2 Taler, 1796. Adalbert III von Harstall. PCGS AU-58." This one year type was accompanied by a half thaler with a bust obverse (KM 153]]) and a "contribution" thaler (Dav-2264]]), which contribution was extorted at the point of French cannons. The bishopric was mediatized by Napoleon in 1802 and partitioned.
