The first specimen was lot 5188 in Sincona sale 35 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 525 CHF (about US$623 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Freiburg/Fribourg | Stadt, Halbbatzen 1806. Seltene Erhaltung. Gutes vorzüglich. (city of Fribourg, half batzen of 1806. Rare in this condition, Good extremely fine.)"

The second specimen was lot 2712 in Sincona sale 47 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 225 CHF (about US$270 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,

"SWITZERLAND, Freiburg/Fribourg, Stadt und Kanton, Halbbatzen 1806. Seltene Erhaltung. Gutes vorzüglich. (city and canton of Fribourg, half batzen of 1806. Rare in this condition, Good extremely fine.)"

The third specimen was lot 4203 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$364 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[3] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | Freiburg/Fribourg | Stadt und Kanton. Halbbatzen 1806, Freiburg. Seltene Erhaltung. Vorzüglich-FDC. (Switzerland, canton of Fribourg, half batzen of 1806, Fribourg mint. Rare in this condition, Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"

This one year type is rather scarce. Five rappen = half batzen and forty batzen made a thaler. This denomination was last struck in 1831.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: billon, the first specimen 1.80 g, the second specimen 1.81 g, the third specimen 2.03 g.
