This specimen was lot 75476 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. Freiburg. 1/2 Kreuzer (Vierer), 1790. NGC MS-66. Pop: 3, two graded finer by NGC. A flashy and sharply struck little Gem, with bright argent surfaces." In Fribourg, 56 kreuzer = one gulden, making this coin 1/112 gulden. In most of Germany, a gulden was sixty kreuzer. This type was struck 1769-70, 1774, 1787 and 1790 and is fairly common. In 1798, the armies of Revolutionary France invaded Switzerland and the old confederation collapsed. The Helvetic Republic was set up and the cantons reorganized.

Recorded mintage: unknown but the most common date.
