This type honors Jean Moulin (1899-1943), who led the French Resistance before being captured and tortured by the Nazis. It was demonetized in 2002 after the introduction of the euro. It is common. A few two francs of the Semuese type (F.272) were also struck 1993, but only for collector sets.

Recorded mintage: 30,000,011 plus 1,850 essais.

Specification: 7.5 g, nickel, 26.5 mm diameter.
