This issue, an NCLT, honors the bicentennial of the declaration of the rights of man. The bust shown was designed by Augustin Dupré in the 1790's and used on the silver écu of the day. It reappeared on several gold coins of the Third Republic. This type was demonetized with the coming of the euro and now trades for bullion. This type was also struck in gold and is rare thus.

Specification: 31 mm diameter, 15 g, 0.900 fine silver, plain edge.
