The second specimen was lot 988 in Jean Elsen sale 142 (Brussels, September 2019), where it sold for €80 (about US$104 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,

"VLAANDEREN, Graafschap, Albrecht en Isabella (1598-1621), AR kwart patagon, 1612, Brugge. Met jaartal op vz. Vz/ Gekroond Bourgondisch kruis. Kz/ Gekroond wapenschild omringd door de keten van het Gulden Vlies. Vlekjes. Gereinigd. Zeer Fraai. Patagons were issued in the Spanish Netherlands and associated states (including the bishopric of Liège and Franche Comte) during the seventeenth century, where they competed with French écus, German talers and Dutch daalders and ducatons. The type shown here was struck at the Bruges mint 1612, 1620 and without date. As can be imagined, the undated specimens are worth a fraction of the dated examples. The SCWC notes the Flemish issues as the most common, followed by the Brabant issue, tho none are plentiful today. The series is plagued by bad planchets and poor strikes, reducing their appeal to collectors.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 7.03 g, 0.875 fine silver, this specimen 7,02 g.
