This specimen was lot 1012 in Stack's Bowers ANA auction (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $7,050. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Angel, ND (1582). Elizabeth I (1558-1603). NGC MS-62. Sword mintmark. An exceptional piece with nice luster." This angel was tariffed at six shillings and eight pence (one third of a pound). It was part of the fifth issue.
