This specimen was lot 40295 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $2,640. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Angel, ND (1495-98). Henry VII (1485-1509). PCGS EF-40 Gold Shield. Pansy mint mark. Type III. A wholesome example of this popular type displaying nearly complete legends with only a small portion of the tops of the letters off the flan. Good honest wear with much detail and light attractive tone." This denomination was struck until the reign of Charles I and was worth one-third of a pound or six shillings eight pence.
